Every second Saturday in December, the holiday spirit takes over St. Augustine Beach for one of the most festive races in Florida — Santa Suits on the Loose 5K!
This annual holiday-themed 5K brings together runners, walkers, families, and Christmas lovers for a morning packed with fun, community spirit, and giving back. Whether you’re chasing a personal record or just sleighing your way to the finish line, this event is designed to spread joy from start to finish.
Hosted by dedicated volunteers alongside the team at St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS), Santa Suits on the Loose has become a beloved community tradition and a powerful fundraiser supporting local youth. In recent years, the event has raised more than $50,000 annually to help provide life-changing programs, normal childhood experiences, and critical mental health services for youth in our community.

When you register, you’ll receive your choice of a festive Santa suit or an exclusive race-themed shirt to help you show off your holiday cheer in style.
Race day is packed tighter than Santa’s sleigh with entertainment and activities for all ages, including:

- Family-friendly activities and surprises throughout the event
